INKLY: Inkly Cards Promotes Power of the Written Word for National Handwriting Day

London - 20 Jan 2015 - Inkly Cards is teaming up with Campaign for Cursive to encourage people to send a handwritten card this Friday (23rd January), to celebrate National Handwriting Day.

Originally an awareness day created in the US, National Handwriting Day has grown in interest globally over recent years, encouraging the public to move away from text message and e-mail, and put pen to paper.

The Inkly Cards app allows users to send personalised, handwritten cards and postcards straight from their mobile device, by writing a message on paper, taking a photo of it within the app, and seeing it magically appear in their personalised card of choice.

“We are big believers in the written word, which is why we established the app. Inkly Cards allows people to use the technology they already know and love, to send a card with a personal touch. There’s nothing like receiving a handwritten card in the post.„ Lee Hawkins, Co-Founder of Inkly.
“Handwriting is a reflection of personality and celebrates the uniqueness of the person who wrote it. A handwritten message to someone you love means so much more than an email or text.„ Sheila Lowe, President, American Handwriting Analysis Foundation.
“Teaching children this lifelong skill has multiple benefits including aiding in academic achievement and self-esteem. We see learning cursive and technology working together to help form a well rounded education.„ Gayna Scott from Campaign for Cursive
